Reading 100 Books in a Year

I joined GoodReads in November of 2011 and read nine books. This motivated me to read 52 (one per week) in 2012; however, I wound up actually reading 82. Of course, getting to 82 in 2012 meant I had to read 104 (two per week) in 2013. I wound up squeaking in 108 total for 2013 and upping my 2012 page count of 26,052 to 26,997. I'm quite a slow reader, so while I know many people routinely read over 100 books per year, this undertaking took a lot of effort for me (averaging over two hours per day).

You can read more about it the short book (32 pages) I wrote about the experience Reading 100 Books in a Year. Since then, I've returned to a more normal rate of reading with the goal of reading at least one book per week for the rest of my life. To see what I'm currently reading or other books I've finished in the past, check out my GoodReads profile.

You can read about my other upcoming projects and completed projects by visiting the Personal Projects home page and keeping up with my blog where I document the steps, stumbles, and small achievements along the way.
